Hi, I'm Robyn!
Why Design?
I've always been drawn to problem-solving and initially imagined a future in engineering. At the same time, I took several advanced art classes in high school, though I never saw a purely creative path as a realistic career. It wasn’t until I took the introductory course at UW that I discovered how these two interests could intersect. I adapt quickly to new tools and programs, and I've found that deepening my understanding of software—and its constraints—makes me a more effective designer throughout the entire creative process.
I am passionate about the environment and media, my wish is to find a way to pursue one of these subjects in my professional career. I love how design can make a positive impact on the world when used with the end goal of improving accessibility and experiences for all. I hope to use these skills to bring small changes to larger systems, helping to improve our world one step at a time.
